Project Manager - Enterprise System Migrations - Netsuite (Freelance)

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead a major finance system migration that is already in progress for our organization in Belgium. This role requires a hands-on, pragmatic professional who can drive large-scale, complex technology transformations while balancing practical constraints and business realities. Excellent organizational, people and change management skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee major enterprise migration from our legacy backend and finance system to NetSuite

• Develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring smooth migration processes with minimal business disruption, within the agreed timeline

• Engage with and act as primary point of contact to key stakeholders across business and IT functions to align project goals and expectations

• Identify risks and proactively manage mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or operational impact

• Work closely with technical teams, third party consultants, and business units to ensure seamless integration and data migration

• Provide practical solutions to challenges, ensuring that the project moves forward efficiently without unnecessary complexity

• Plan and ensure proper change management activities to reduce migration friction and maximize onboarding experience for internal stakeholders

• Manage the testing phase for both NetSuite and Salesforce integration, ensuring that the systems work seamlessly together

• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure the integrated solution is ready for deployment

• Ensure all project-related documentation, including new process flows, is complete, accurate, and up to date

• Oversee post implementation training ensuring users maximize the benefit of new systems and processes

• Maintain clear communication with leadership and stakeholders, reporting on progress, challenges, and resolutions

• Ensure that process is structured and compliant with SOX, GDPR and financial audit standards for key milestones, decisions, schedules, and risk mitigations

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in ERP system migrations is a must, additional CRM systems integration experience is a plus

• Experience managing large-scale, complex enterprise migrations

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite system

• Experience with Salesforce integrations is strongly preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members

• Strong organisational and people skills

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and business needs

• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, results-driven mindset

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines

• Ability to roll up sleeves and engage in execution when necessary—this is not a theoretical or purely strategic role

• Experience working in highly international environments with stakeholders distributed globally across North America, Europe, and India

• Ability to reason logically and manage complex issues to resolution

• Ability to take limited meetings between 5-7pm CET to coordinate with our American colleagues

• Native fluency in English

• Experience working in an enterprise environment with high data sensitivity

• Knowledge of financial, operational, and customer service workflows

• Change management and stakeholder engagement experience
